The Story of Cybele Apothecary

MAGNA MATER DEUM IDAEA

In 2020, Cybele Apothecary was created by Nick Bologna the 2nd Degree Initiated High Priest of Coven of the Second Star, A Coven of the Gala Tradition of Witchcraft in New York City. His deep interest in the many ways witches and other magickal people seamlessly incorporate their magick to their every day lives inspired the inaugural spell oils to be created.

The versatility of delivery of these oils was the key to their success as staple tools in the Coven's cabinet. They could be used anywhere throughout someone's day to veil one's self in a shimmering attractive glamour, to ward of evil and danger at a moment's notice, to open one's mind, or to amplify acts of divination and psychic ability. The range of use of each spell oil was up to the practitioner's imagination.

In 2021 the Gala Tradition of Witchcraft Chief Elder, Casey Giovenco, created Uncrossing Your Roads, an online witchcraft training course for witches. In the course the students learn now to navigate their path through rituals through the wheel of the year. Hence, under the new moniker Cybele Apothecary, the 4 Seasonal Ritual Incenses were created.

The Goddess, Cybele was known as the Mater Deum Magna Idaea, the Great Idaean Mother of the Gods. She is found in Greek and Roman Literature between the 2nd and 5th centuries. She was known by many other names, but her aspects always remained as a symbol of Universal Motherhood, but not specifically of fertility, but the giver of the universal life-force itself to all gods, man and beast.

This vision of universality is what Cybele Apothecary intends to bring to the world. Magick can be embraced and explored by anyone and everyone. Let us help you find yours.
